Robert's Story
After graduating from North High, I attended El Camino College for a year before moving to Valencia. I spent the next year completing general ed. classes at College of the Canyons. In 1978, I started attending LIFE Bible College in LA. I graduated in 1982 with a B.A. in Theology. I was married in 1981 to my first wife & had 2 children. In 1993 I went through an ugly divorce & some how managed to survive. I remarried in 1996 to my wife Christy & have 3 step-sons.
While in high school, I worked for Ralphs Grocery Co. & continued managing for them until 1997. I still didn't know what I wanted to be when I grew up, so I took the next 2 years trying to figure it out. In 1999, I began working for a major utility company here in Southern California & love it. supervise 25 employees in the Meter Reading department. Most of them are the same age as my oldest kids.
Over the years, I have enjoyed traveling at home & overseas. I have also traveled to foreign countries to do humanitarian work. I find helping people very fulfilling. We also enjoy camping & boating.
My 2 oldest children are married & on their own. The step-sons still live at home, 1 in college & 2 in high school.
I wasn't so sure I wanted to do this classmates thing, since I really hated high school. I never went to any of my class reunions (I was never contacted anyway). College was fun & I had some pretty close friends. Some how over these many years I've lost touch with them. Maybe you're one of them. Feel free to drop me a line or two.
