Robert's Story

After I graduated from Visitation I went to North Catholic and graduated from there in 1964. I then went to La Salle College and graduated in 1968 with a degree in History. I left LaSalle fully expecting to be drafted but when I took my draft physical in August '68 they found that I had "essential hypertension", a blood pressure problem and rejected me. I worked in a government job for two years after my graduation from LaSalle and then went to Temple School of Law. I graduated from Temple Law in May 1973 and passed the PA bar exam later that year. I worked for a couple of law firms after graduation, then, in 1984 I took a job with AT&T in Atlanta, GA doing re...Expand for more
gulatory work in a number of southern states. I was in Atlanta until the summer of 1988 when I was transferred to AT&T's headquarters in Basking Ridge, NJ. (Basking Ridge is about 40 miles west of New York City). I did FCC work for AT&T in the Basking Ridge area until AT&T was acquired by Southwestern Bell in 2006 and I was given a separation. package I then started to work in a litigation support unit at the Deloitte accounting firm. I finally retired in 2012 and returned to the Philadelphia area. I got married in 1971 and have remained married. My wife and I have two kids but no grandkids (so far). We split our time between Philly and the Jersey shore.
