Robert's Story
The following is a brief point form history: 1. 1965 -1967 Left McNally in 1965 and joined the Military. Became a part time disc jockey for several radio stations during my service. 2. Worked as a journeyman house painter and married in 1969 Neither were successful. 3. Became a carpenter in the early 1970's but still not much $$$ 4. Married again in the early 1980's and became a pressure welder. Better $$ Successfully raised 3 children and am now a grandfather. Went to BCIT for welding engineering Went to Texas A&M for construction supervisors licence for the continental US Became a welding instructor for BCIT Continued to work as a part time disc jockey for CFFM country in Williams Lake as my hobby. 5. Started my own business in 1987 from 100 Mile House in BC. and expanded it over 2 countries. Moved to Calgary and opened offices in Calgary and Houston Texas building oil storage tanks. My company was profiled in Oilweek Magazine in 1992. Became interested in the contaminants and removal of such in natural gas ...Expand for more
and established several patents. 6. Divorced in 1998 and closed the company. 7. Worked in a supervisory capacity during the construction of Diavik and BHP diamond mines in the arctic 2000-2002 8. Moved my career to Quality Control and Quality Assurance in the oil and gas industry and continued the pursuit of removing molecular contaminates in natural gas. 9. Became Quality Auditor for FLUOR Engineering at Syncrude 2008, became quality management for NEXEN Oil in 2010 10. Retired for NEXEN in 2012, 11. Decided to sell my patents and have successfully sold the Canadian rights and the US patents are being negotiated. 12. Currently have offices in Calgary and Hong Kong where we are pursuing various international interests 13. These are the last few months I will be in Canada as I cannot abide by 57% tax. 14. I can still be reached at my Calgary address or phone until Aug 31, 2014 or can be contacted in Hong Kong after Aug. 31 15. Will be in Cabo San Lucas for the winters with my gorgeous wife! The love of my life!
