Robert's Story
Life
After graduation I worked at Dayton's Southdale for awhile and then joined the Navy. I spent one year at Aerial Photo Training School at Lowry Air Force Base in Denver, CO. I then went to Alameda Naval Air Station in California. I was stationed there for almost 3 years. I worked in the Operational Intelligence Training Center. I went home on leave in 1968 and started dating an old girlfriend, Vickie Lynn Davis, RHS Class of '66. In November of 1968 we were married on the Navy Base in the Chapel. We returned to Minnesota in 1970. I got into photography sales for about six years and grew tired of the travel. I went to work for Chisago County Sheriff's Department and was a Deputy Sheriff for 14 years. Needing more excitement and photography I went to work for the Minneapolis Police Department. I spent a few years in Patrol and then 6 years in the Crime Lab. I retired in October 2001 after being the Southeast Beat Officer for the areas of Dinkytown and Stadium Village next to the University of Minnesota.

aughters (Tamra & Sara) , 2 sons Matthew & Robert, Jr.), and 3 grandaughters( Jazlyn, Jenae & Faith), and our first grandson,Jayden Robert Patrick. Our daughter Sara is expecting another girl, Grace Lynn in January 2008. Vickie Davis-Patrick (Class of RHS '66) and I are still married after 39+ years. Our oldest son, Matthew is a Christian Minister, Singer/Song Writer, Music Producer, and Missionary in Bratislava, Slovakia. We went to Slovakia in May 2006 for a 15 day visit. He returned to Minnesota in July 2006 and is now back in the Twin Cities.
We live on a rural 8 acres of woods in East Central Minnesota and I still hunt and fish as much as possible. One daughter, Sara and her husband, Greg and their daughter, Faith live next door on 5 acres. All four children and their children live closeby.
Just last year (March 2006) I started back to work part-time (I got bored sitting in my recliner). I now work part-time(3 days a week) at the Cambridge Allina Medical Center and do Courier work and Department deliveries. I love the work and the people are fun to work with.
