Robert's Story

Life After leaving JCHS, spent the next to years at Mt. Carmel College located in Niagra Falls, Ontatio. Yes, believe it or not I was considering becoming a Carmelite priest. But for anyone who remembers me from those days, I didn't like taking orders, and I also just liked women to much. Fortunately for the me, my seminary experience was benifical in that it allowed me to do alternative service instead of going into military service. Don't believe that I missed any special oppurtunities in Vietnam. So instead of two years in the military, I was an orderly at Henry Ford Hospital for a year or so, and the balance of those two years, we organized the first recycling reclamation in Joliet. After doing my time, I left Joliet to do a bit of traveling and landed in New England. I lived in the Boston area for about 15 years. Built a house up in Otisfield, Maine. I worked in the construction field as a carpenter. I really enjoyed working on historical buildings. Was involved in a school of Philosophy in the Boston area for about 10 years. Meet a lady also attending the same school...........got married June of 1983. I have to lovley daughters, Kate who 23 and presently attending UBC here in Vancouver, and Annie ( a chip of the old block}, 17 and will be graduating from high school next year. I'm still working in the construction field as a service rep for a union developer here in Vancouver. Hoping to move back to states sometime in the near future. My father lives on a cattle farm in central Wiscconsin, which I ...Expand for more
visit on a regular basis. My plans are to retire there, do alittle antique restoration an possibly get involved in some alternative energy business. I'm an ardent gardener, a dog lover and still a little unconventional, and last but not least a confirmed patriot. United we stand! April 15,2006. Last update......I'm presentedly still working in Vancouver, British Colunbia, Canada for a Development Corp. building high rises. I hoping to retire{begin a 2nd career] in the next 2 years or so. I'll be moving back to a farm in Wild Rose Wisconsin where I intend to get involved in Alternative energy systems. Specifically Solar and Wind. Also hoping to create a a sort of hostile type evironment at the farm where folks can come to relax, work the farm, go fishing, and swap old stories over a glass of homemade wine. If you're in the neighborhood stop on by. Seasoned greetins to all. Update as of Dec.24,2007. Seasoned greetin to all my old classmates and friends. Well I figure to be about a year away from retiring from one job an moving on to my next career.. that of a rural entrapranuer. Someone who will dabble in organic farming, raising animals and some how through alternative means getting off the grid! My two children have graduated from university and culinary school. So they are on there way, my wife is teaching ESL in Vancouver. It's been really great reconnecting with old friends through this website. Remember don't keep the faith share it! Merry Christmas to all and may we all share in global Peace! Bob
