Robert's Story
No, I didn't become an English teacher or replace Mrs. Albritton when she retired a few years ago...there were many rumors going around that I would return to Citrus High...not yet.
Life
After high school, I attended Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida, on a Navy ROTC scholarship. I spent five years in ROTC before graduating with my degree in Applied Math and Physics and earning my commission as an oficer in the Navy. I am currently a Lieutenant Commander attached to the NADEP Reserve Unit in Jacksonville. I am married and have two beautiful children, Alexa Nicole and Justin Michael. The Navy has taken me all over the world during my three cruises and has given me the opportunity to do and see more than most people. I currently plan to stay in the Navy for the full 20 years, before growing up and doing something else. But, for now, my family and job are going great. I look forward to seeing a lot of people at our next reunion, as I was in Australia during our 10-year reunion.
Workplace
Operations Manager for the Jack...Expand for more
sonville Imaging center for Lason performing digital conversions of documentation for paper intensive organizations such as mortgage and healthcare industries, as well as city and county governments. Started as Production Manager with Lason shortly after coming off of active duty in 2003. Concurrent Reserve duties provided good experience with Lean Maintenance and Operations that easily translated to my production environment at Lason, catapulting me into my boss' position as Operations Manager in Nov 2004 (same time I picked up LCDR in the Reserves). I continue to implement Lean initiatives into our center, increasing our profitability from 15 to 35% over a two-year period. 2006 was a banner year for Jacksonville Imaging after generating the largest Lean Savings throughout the company. Now, four years into this "tour", still looking for the Detailer to give me my next set of orders. Time to move on...anyone out there looking for good Operations Management material? Willing to relocate almost anywhere in the southeast. Just let me know.
