Robert's Story
Born in Thetford, Norfolk England January 22, 1946. Came to America to be with my former GI with my mother 1947. Grew up in New Rochelle , New York. Graduated high school, class of 1964. Two weeks after graduation I was on my way to Air Force basic training. Twenty years later retired fromcthe Air force. During the 20 years, I married a Georgia peach Mary Virginia Couch of Albany Georgia. Three children. First born a son. A super son. ice took me to Turner AFB Georgia, Forbes AFB Kansas, Four months temporary duty to Brazilia, Brazil .one year at Takhli Thailand. Four years at Rhein Main AB West Germany. Next assignment was to Nellis AFB, Las Vegas Nevada. 1977 was back to Rhein Main for four years. It was cut short for family emergency. Father in law was terminally ill. Final assignment was to Moody AFB for five years. Retired from service in 84. Went to New York state. Newburgh. Worked in the Post Office til 2001 and retired. 2007 returned to Albany Geaorgia.
