robert's Story
Who I Am
There are many different eras,
when I look back over my life.
At many of those different times,
I see myself very distant than I am now.
Now there are also different people
who were near me who stand out.
And it is very funny.
My image of myself at distant times,
feels no more to be me
than are some of the figures who were close.
So, overall, who I am feels to be both
my distant characters,
and some of those others.
We, together, seem to be Rob.
A Dream
As seems the case for ...Expand for more
many,
with age,
I have more physical disruptions and afflictions -
a contrast to the memory of my body
being ready for many different things
I was free to do.
In a dream last night,
I looked out the door
and saw all around,
there were a score of wolves,
of many different colors,
but they were all sleeping peacefully,
most of them quite curled up.
And I was at ease about them.
What a vivid image of precious times now,
unpreyed upon
by possible concerns.
