Robert's Story
I've been a Forensic Scientist/Criminalist since 1980 after I graduated from Sac State with a BS in Forensic Science. Worked in Reno, Portland, Seattle, and Walnut Creek where I started with ATF in 1994. There I specialised in Firearms and Toolmark Identification and helped install the National Integrated Ballistics Information Network (NIBIN). Transfered withj my wife Marilyn to the ATF National Lab near Washington, D.C. in 2003. for Standards and Technology (NIST). I am responsible for the developement of DNA, Ballistics, and Latent Print technology developement and standards. In 2014 there was a reorganization of the Forensic Science group to the Office of Special Programs. I'm now a Senior Forensic Science Research Manager there. In 2017 I graduated at George Washington University with a Master of Forensic Sciences degree (MFS).
Marilyn and I live in Alexandria, Virginia, just across the Potomac River from D.C. Marilyn has a business in Medical Transcription.
