Robert's Story
Life
Well, I have an 21 year old daughter named "Francesca" and a Black Lab named "Daisy" and a very wonderful wife - what more could a man want?
Apart from that, I currently live in Ventura, CA which has been my home for only a few months. My wife and I now live on a tiny yacht in a beautiful marina. Prior to that I lived in Arizona, Texas, N. Carolina, S. Carolina, Georgia, Alabama (All military) and Darmstadt Germany. Following the fall of the Berlin Wall, I took a few years off and just rode my bicycle around Europe - that was fun.
I moved back to the USA, finished school and became a high school teacher. Trying to teach History and Government to kids that didn't know how to read or write was no fun so I returned to my first love - music.
I've been a producer, engineer and studio musician and I couldn't be happier. To date, I've got more than 140 albums, 14 film projects and can name Honeywell, Honda, Yahoo!, USAA Insurance, General Mills and Bayer as past clients.
School
I have an AA from the University of Maryland in Heidelberg Germany. I have a BA (Cum Laude) from the University of Toledo. I also have specialized training in Microwave and Satellite Communications provided to me by Uncle Sam. After all, why should...Expand for more
n't we have cell phone communications on the battlefield?
College
College was a blast and, if I could, I would stay in college forever. Even when I had to do student teaching it was ok. Student teaching was also fun because I totally made stuff up to see if my students were paying attention. Also, I would like to find a student that I knew was high out of his or her mind and give my entire lecture from the seat directly behind him or her - it would really freak them out.
Military
I enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1989 and did my basic training at Ft. Jackson N. Carolina. I received advanced training at Ft. Gordon Georgia and then I was off to Germany. Following school in Germany and a few years off, I returned to the U.S. and did ROTC at the University of Toledo as well as Reserve training with the 983rd also out of Toledo. I was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in 1997. I am currently no longer in the military.
The Future
I'm really working as hard as I can to break into film. Though I've worked on a number of short films, I have yet to work on a full length feature. I'm only in my second year of film work so I guess I shouldn't be so hard on myself but it isn't always easy learning something new at, ahem, my age. Wish me luck.
