Life My Spouse Confession. I am married for the third time and I think that this one is the charm. My first wife and I met while I was in the navy and lasted 16 years. After 4 years of singlehood, I married my second wife and that lasted 18 years. After 2 years I married for the third time and married a woman (Margie) I have known for 38 years. I think I finally got it. I have married every 20 years since 1960 and I think this is the last one. Margie and I have been married for 8 years now. My Pets Our dog Odie and my cat Q had to be put down. Q lived to be 17 but developed a cancer in his mouth and it was inoperable. Prior to moving to Indiana in 1999 I had three cats but left two (Nicholas Fitzgerald and Alexandra Rose) in Maryland with their mom (wife #2), and brought Q with me. They were all Persians (what other kind of cat is there?). We are now the proud parents of 2 American Shorthairs, so now I know there are cats other than Persian. They are brothers/litter mates named Gandalf and Aragorn and as of today 5/18/2008 they are 16 months old. They wake us up every night between 3:00 and 4:00 am when they are put into "their room to let us sleep a while more.
