Robin's Story
Thirteen days after graduating from Midwood June 1977, on July 10, 1977 I got married. Eleven months and two days later I left my husband and moved to Maine. I lived in Maine with an older man who two and a half years later died of lukemia. I then went to nursing school, graduated University of Maine at Augusta with an ADN in June of 1985. I worked at the local Medical center as a med/surg nurse for two years, an SCU nurse for six and a half years, and a psych and addictions nurse for three and a half years. years. I came off the road and did home health at one clients home for the next 2 years. For the next 22 months I worked as a nurse at the max security state prison. For the last 2 1/2 years I've been working in home health predomonetly with kids. Naturally I've also had a few love relationships throughout the years. The last one ending just in the end of June 2008. I was also in the Army reserve as a nurse for eleven and a half years. I was activated for desert shield/storm and spent seven and a half months working at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. I parted company with the military as a Captain. That being my knickname and handle on the CB, captain flash gordon.
