Robin's Story
Life
I moved to Charlottesville in 1996 from Roanoke...I live in Earlysville, VA- (a little north of Charlottesville). I have a cute home on three acres...I am married and go to school part-time.
I have a great job at UVA - coordinating three first year medical courses and own my own business (medical transcription).
School
High school. Would we really do it over again? I don't think so...I learned so much more after high school, not only about myself but others. But, the one teacher that inspired me the most, Ms. Noell, typing 101. She was one of my toughest teachers, but also gave me the ability and to go and make it on my own, to be able to open my own business using the skills that...Expand for more

Workplace
Wow, to think about all of the positions that I have held since high school, that's a tough one.
The main positions were Krisch Hotels (not a great job but met alot of great people), from there I moved to work for First Union for a few years, obtained a job with the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Salem for a year and then my husband and I decided to try a new town. Moved to Charlottesville and I got on with the University of Virginia and have been here for going on thirteen years. About four years ago I got brave and opened my own medical transcription business, which is still going great,
That's my work life in the last twenty years.
