Robyn's Story

Life After high school, I went to CSUS and graduated with a BA in English. I married my husband in 1993. Moved to Hawaii in 1994. Kennedy was born in 1996. We moved to Las Vegas in 1996 then moved back to California in 1998. Finished my MA in Education (Educational Leadership) in May 2003. Enjoying life and the people that I meet but would love to stay in touch with people I grew up with. Life has had its ups and downs, but as long as you stay focused you can get through whatever life throws at you. School There was always drama in high school with someone and the gossip was always fresh. There were plenty of good times to go around. Happiest time was Sophomore/Junior year. Most liberating moment was after my Senior year and going off to college. Craziest times were probably with Shawna Koepp. We had some crazy adventures. College College life was fun. dest ran you out of the apartment. After that Chi Delta kept me going with sorority parties and mixers. Those were fun times. I also met my fraternity husband and we've been together ever since. Workplace I've gone from being a preschool teacher in Hawaii to working for a software support company in Las Vegas. I worked for a major university in one of the largest departments on campus. I managed over 140 graduate students and the student services section. Now I am the Assistant Registrar at Napa Valley College and love what I do. I am always busy, but I would rather be busy than bored any day. I also get to travel and meet people from various parts of the community and who couldn't enjoy working in the wine country? It is fantastic! Military Just moved around as the spouse. I worked on both Hickam AFB and McClellan AFB in child care settings. I also worked in the Services Squadron Training office at Hickam. So no tours of duty for myself, but a couple with my husband.
