Rod's Story
I went to UMM for 4 years, then attended graduate school at the Main campus of the University of Minnesota. After completing a MS in Physics, I joined the U.S. Navy. All told, I served on two ships as Division Officer, Department Head and CO. Ashore, I served as the same as well as the Associate Dean of Research at the Navy Post Graduate School(NPS) before winding up a 30+ year career in 2013 as a CAPTAIN...Expand for more
. I also served as Science Adviser to both the NNSA and U.S. Air Force while working for LLNL. I currently run the Naval Research Program at NPS as Program Manager where we manage over 130 research project for the Navy and Marine Corps. Along the way, I also obtained an MS in International Business and am working on a PhD in Systems Engineering. My wife Shelley and I have three kids: Jack, Anna, and Brian.
