Rodney's Story
Life
I still live in Chesterfield with my wife, Katherine, our 16 year daughter, Mary, and our 5 year old son, Ryan.
I am a full time firefighter/paramedic in Chesterfield and I work part time as a registered nurse on the general surgery floor of a local hospital.
College
I have a degree in Nursing from J. Sargeant Reynold's and I am finishing a second degree in the paramedic program at J. Sarge.

I started off as a corpsman in the Navy Reserve with a hospital unit. Thinking that was boring I received training in field medicine from the Marine Corps and was assigned to an artillery battery. After 5 years I longed for the boredom of the hospital and transfered back. That didn't last long though and I was ordered to active duty with a Marine Corps infantry battalion in Iraq during the invasion of 2003 (Operation Iraqi Freedom I). After experincing my share of combat I became an Air Force airport firefighter on my return to the states.
