Ron's Story
I was born In Hermosa Beach and raised in Sacramento, California. A Navy veteran, I traveled throughout Southeast Asia, and served on assignments in Japan, and on board the USS Kitty Hawk, CVA-63, during the Vietnam War. I received Vietnam and National Defense Service ribbons. After an Honorable Discharge, I returned to Sacramento, got married, adopted a son (Troy) and had a daughter (Tracy). My son designs computer programs and my daughter works for Samaritan's Purse as a Regional Manager (Northern Calif. and Nevada). tandard Brands Paint Company, then moved to The Bay Area, then Salinas, then Fresno, then Los Angeles. As VP of Sales for Standard Brands I designed and gave sales and management seminars and wrote the company ethics and business manuals. I divorced, then remarried and started my own designer (trade show) jewelry company. I lived in Texas a couple of years and I'm now retired, living in Chandler, Arizona and have recently written a Novel published by booklocker.com called Drunken Duck (half factual, half fictional, 100% fanciful) about growing up in Sacramento and the Vietnam War.
