More about Ron:"I love cities as much as I enjoy the natural world. I have a dark sense of humor and tend to see the cup as half-empty... but humorously so. I see the irony of life, politics and religion--like how people who decry government intrusion in our lives tend to invite such intrusion when it supports their personal religion... Or how so-called Christians hang on to some biblical passages, like those that label homosexuality "an abomination," but conveniently disregard the bible's other declared "abominations"--like eating shellfish or wearing mixed-fiber clothing. I generally eschew organized religion, because I think more often than not people use it to cloak their fears and bolster their prejudices... and I think the institutions of organized religion exist primarily to control people and wield power.
