Ron's Story
Life
After graduation I attended Sierra Collage for 1 semester then got married and went to work at De Witt State Hospital. After 6 months of that I went to work for the U.S.Forest Service in Foresthill. From there I went to work for a private forestry consultant company and was stationed at the Port of Stockton. While there we bought our first home. Left there and tried auto parts for a couple of years then got a job with Safeway Stores where after 6 years I was able t transfer to a store in Grass Valley. We bought a home in Penn Valley and lived there for 25 yeears. Along with Safeway I also opened a small engine shop with my 2 boys which we operated for 18 years and was a member of the Penn Valley Fire Department where I was elected Chief for 7+years and was instrumental in formation of the rescue squ...Expand for more
ad which now operates 4 ambulances and has 6 fulltime paramedics on duty at two firehouses 24 hrs. In 1995 my wife of 35 years and I agreed to disagree on just about everything so we split. She got the house and I got the mobilhome my mother had left me. I retired in 1998 and remarried my present wife, Janice, and in 2001 we sold everything, bought a new Bounder motorhome, and hit the road. 2 years later her brother gave us a 5 year old Yellow Lab named Maggie and the three of us have been roaming the country ever since. At the present time, Nov 2007, we are in Sun City Az. taking care of her father who is ill and not expected to last to much longer. Then we will be back on the road again and looking forward to seeing some of our classmates if we can find them so contact us and let us know where you are.
