A lot has changed and continues to change, which makes life interesting! I moved in with my longtime girlfriend Gerri in June of 2016 and just returned from an awesome Arizona vacation with her in April of 2019--in-out of Phoenix, Sedona with a side trip to Grand Canyon South Rim and Tuscon with great friends dating back to 1981. My son Elliot, 26 in 2019, has now been out in BC now for 3 years+-- living life large in the hospitality industry and on the slopes of Whistler & Sun Peaks. Elliot is now back settled and working in Squamish where I visited him for Thanksgiving 2017 . I've been back living in Mississauga since 2008 and am happy here! I changed in September of 2011 from being self-employed to a BI Manager at RBC Insurance; RBC Insurance was purchased by Aviva July 1, 2016--really underscoring a year of change--and whilst many of my friends and classmates were and continue to retire, I was promoted in February of 2017 to Senior Casualty Manager of Aviva's Major Case Unit! In January of 2019, I changed again, becoming Director of Insurance & Claims for TFI International, a $5B/yr transportation company, 5th largest in North America. Freedom 55 somehow became Freedom 70--go figure! :P lol I will leave the rest of the story as first told in May of 2008 and added to when I drove Elliot back home in December of 2008 from Newks Tennis Academy near San Antonio, Texas.
