Ron's Story

Life Greetings : ) I am living in Las Vegas, Nevada. It is totally different living here in Vegas than in Toledo. I have been here for 10 years and loving it. I can't complain about the clear blue skies especially during the winters. In 1997 I graduated from The University of Toledo with a bachelors degree in Elementary Education. Then I made the big move to Las Vegas in 1997 to become an elementary school teacher. I have been teaching for over 10 years and enjoying it. This past May 2007, I graduated from The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) with a masters degree. My masters degree is in Ed. leadership and administration. My career plan is to be hired as a school administrator or to pursue a management position. School Meadowvale Elementary - I have many fond memories of elementary school. Some of the teachers that I had I could do with out. Here's the list of the few teachers that I did have that I believe made a difference in me. Mrs. Miller, Mrs. Borgan, Mrs.McCord, Mrs. McClosky, and my favorite Mrs. Tegatz (may she rest in peace). What I loved was the friendships that I made with my peers while at Meadowvale. The good friends that I had there were: Joe Payette, Peggy Brock, Jason Rupp, Keith Erdman,David Walender, Greg Friend (may he rest in peace), Paul Troknya, Scott Valare, Chris Lutz, Lisa P...Expand for more
rovencher, and many more. If I forgot you let me know and I will add you on here. : ) Wahington Jr. High - There was a lot a great times that I had there. The best year was 8th grade. Although, I broke my foot during summer football traing it turned out to be a great year. It was sad that we were only there for 2 years. My favorite teachers were: Mr.Payeff, Ms. Figgins, Mr.Fortney, Ms.Kubacki, Ms.MacFarlane, Mr. Horstman, and Mr. Rybarczyk Whitmer High School - The 4 years at Whitmer did go by fast. I had a great time when I choose to show up. LOL I had some (key word is SOME) great teachers and coaches while I was there. My favorite coaches were Mr. Shunk & Mr. Voland for wrestling. My favorite football coach was Mr. Gilbert. My favorite teachers in high school were: Mrs. Mary Smith, Ms. Cindy Charleston, Ms. Sarah Spiesman, and Mrs. Longstaff. My school years would never have been a blast if it weren't for my high school sweet heart, Heather. She brought lots of laughs, smiles, and great memories to my life. May she rest in peace. The Univ. Of Toledo- College was such a blast and loved evey minute of it. Maybe not the studying, exams, and papers but the social part was what made me through it all. I was a member of the Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity. GO PI KAPPS!! I served in many leadership roles while at UT.
