Ron's Story

Life I have been married to Michelle since August 1985. Between us we have 4 children, 5 grandchildren. I still work for the U S Postal Service. I am planning on retiring as soon as we sell our home in Allen, Texas. We will be moving to L.A. (That is Lower Alabama). We are going to build our retirement home in a small town close to Mobile, Alabama, close to my in-laws and Michelle's family. We have enjoyed going to Russia and Ukraine, carrying humanitarian aid to the orphanages, which we did in 2001, 2002, 2003. It is a very rewarding trip and we have made some lifetime friends as a result of going to the former Soviet Union. Workplace I retired from the Postal Service in 2005 and moved to Alabama. e Inspector. I inspect new homes being built in Baldwin County from I-10 to the Gulf Coast, and from Florida to the East Bay of Alabama. It is a very rewarding job in that I get to see some of the most beautiful homes in the South being built right before my eyes. Along with four other inspectors, we insure that codes are being followed in the building of homes, businesses, and whatever is built in our jurisdiction. I enjoy the job, because I am outdoors most of the day and get to travel courtesy of the County. I usually travel about 175-200 miles a day seeing all kinds of construction. I was certified with the International Code Council as a Residential Building Inspector on March 4, 2006 after only 40 days on the job. I thoroughly enjoy my new career.
