Ronald's Story
Life
After high school, joined the Air Force. was stationed in Turkey for a year. spent 2 years at Nellis AFB, Las Vegas. Came back to Houston in 67, went to work for Vector Cable Co. Got transfered to Calif. Spent 4 years in Calif. Returned to Houston, went to work for SW BellSpent 7 years with Bell, went to work at UT Houston until 88. Transfered to Tex A&M Fire School. Worked as instructor until 1999. Retired in 99 from A&M. Have been retired since, with an exception, went to work for TxDOT as a Safety Officer and Hazardous Materials Coordinator for the Houston district. Worked about 5 years, the retired again. Married in 1968. have 4 children and 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Have lived on Lake Conroe for the past 21 years. Spend time with grandkids, and traveling. st once a year. have enjoyed my retirement very much. In 2010 took a trip to Israel with our church. Had a great time. Would recommend the trip to everyone. My wife, my daughter , son-in-law and my self took an Alaskan cruise in May of 2018. It was our gift to ourselves for our 50th. annv. Had another Alaskan cruise scheduled for October this year, but it was cancelled due to Covid-19. Planning a Panama Canal cruise for next year, from Miami to San Diego. Really looking forward to the trip. Spend most of my time working around the house, we are doing some remodeling and my "Honey-Do List" just keep getting longer. We try to take our travel trailer out as often as we can, just to hot most of the time in the summer. We do most of our camping in the fall and winter. Just enjoying grandkids and great-grandkids and life as much as we can.
