Ronald's Story

Well 50 hit and I'm still excited about all the tomorrows God may graciously bestow on my life. I have three wonderful boys who are now 23,22 and 20 years old. Amazing! If you know me...write, I'd enjoy reconnecting with friends of our mutual past. While in the Air Force in 1978 I came to the personal realization of my need for Jesus Christ in my life. After accepting Him as my personal Savior I followed my 4 years of military with 4 years in Bible College. Never think that being a "born again" Christian makes one any better than another, it does not, but it can and will change one's life. Through all my ups and yes, downs in those following nearly 30 years I have had peace in my soul concerning the hereafter that so many people only have an unfortunate void in that matter. Christ is real, many of my High School friends know that Jesus Christ lived and died for their sin yet as my personal experience tells, they yet do not have that "peace that surpasses all understanding". That alone comes from a personal knowledge and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ believing He loves you more than anything/anyone can. This is not a platform to preach but a testimony of my life. Through it all I write you my friends to say He is still at this age of 50 my best friend and confidant. I live a block from the Moose Lake golf course and still love the game and yet not truly figured it out. I have retired from Federal Law Enforcment but rely on rental properties I have invested in for the last 18 years. I own a tanning salon in Cloquet, (closed circuit ...Expand for more
to Blaze-- 'hey dude, you are close to me, come visit and have a tan on me!) I also truly love being in the Health Care (mental) in that I own, with my brother Jim, an Adult Foster Care home wherein we deal with residents with Tramatic Brain Injuries and those who are Developmentally Disabled. I have enjoy world travel and have visited South America, Central America along with the Carribean. My wife is from Thailand and I can truly share that her country is an unforgetable experience! I have visited Cambodia, Vietnam and the Philippines. After seeing my father pass away young, I made it part of my dream to travel while I was young, the memories and experiences are part of what brings quality to all of our lives and I wish it upon any/all who can do so. My oldest boy, Brad is 23, works in Superior Wisconsin and is a competitive mountain biker, he loves all aspects of the outdoors. Justin, 22, is employed at Menards in Brooklyn Park and is the assistant head Wrestling coach at Park Center H.S. where he still holds the career record for pins in wrestling at 83. Justin was captain of the wrestling team there for 4 years and has a gift in teaching what he knows. My youngest son Kyle, 20, and is enrolled at Hennepin Technical College for Engineering. Kyle was the H.S. Football captain his senior year in H.S. and though had college offers his junior year, a few injuries led him towards academics. He was a great student in H.S. with a GPA way higher (3.6) than his old man! I do hope here to reconnect with friends from the best years of my life---Rocori!
