Ronald's Story
After graduation: I enlisted in the Navy on February 25, 1983 and spent the next 20 years serving and protecting this great country or ours.
While in the Navy, I was stationed at the following locations:
1. Boot camp in Orlando Florida.
2. School at NTTC Corry Station, Pensacola, FL.
3. NAVFAC ADAK Alaska.
4. COMMANDER SUBMARINE FORCES PACIFIC, Pearl Harbor Hawaii.
5. FCTCLANT, Dam Neck Virginia for UYK-20 Assembler Language Programming (TACINTEL Programming) school
6. NSGA Skaggs Island, Sonoma California.
a. This is where I met and married my wife Lydia.
7. TACINTEL Operators school at NTTC Corry Station, Pensacola, FL.
8. COMMANDER SECOND FLEET, Norfolk Virgina which was embarked on the USS MT Whitney, LCC-20
a. During this tour, I was deployed to Norway, Ireland, Germany, England, Belgium, Portugal, Nassau Bahamas, and Guantanamo Bay Cuba.
b. This is where I earned the Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist Qualification
c. I was also initiated into the Fraternal Order of the BLUE NOSE.

I retired from the Navy on 28 Feb 2003 and started living my life as a civilian. I have uploaded my retirement ceremony program if anyone wants to read it.
I took a job with a Government contractor called Rome Research Corporation which sent be back to Guantanamo Bay Cuba for work. I spent the next 8 months working in Cuba.
After my stint in Cuba, I came back to the States for vacation and found a job working for DELL in Round Rock, Texas. I worked for DELL for the next eight years and commuted to the office every day. This commute was 2.5 hours north of San Antonio or about 120 miles one way.
I then began working for a small company called PhACTs, LLC which was located in San Antonio and changed my commute to only 20 minutes. PhACTs, LLC has since been purchased by CareFusion Corporation and I am now working for them.
As mentioned earlier, my wife and I met in California and were married on 3 November 1990 and are still married to this date. We still live in San Antonio as does our daughter (Veronica), her husband (Eric), and our three grandkids (Ashia 17, Deangelo 7, and Josiah 6).
