Ronda's Story

Life Hi everyone, It's been a long time since we were in High School together. After we graduated and I no longer worked in the school office I spent about 8 months looking for work. I ended up working at Kmart in the layaway department for almost 4 years. I left there and started working for Fred Meyer here in Walla Walla in their office. I worked there for about three years before we were told we were closing our doors. I was lucky enough that Emporium was coming into our building and said they would give us all interview and I got a job with them. I spent the first 1 year working in the childrens department then got promoted to the office. I stayed at Emporium for a little over 5 years. In the fall of 1995, while at work, I met my husband. He started working at the store the end of September and by November that year we knew we were to be married. We got married August 1996 and had our pride and joy daughter in January 1998. That summer I quit working outside the home to be a full time Mommy and wouldn't trade it for the world! I love being a wife and mother!! Since March of 2004 I have had fun watching a child after school and during school breaks. This ended unexpectedly in January of 2005. The summer 0f 2005 I started watching my baby nephew full time while his parent's work. He was born in late April 2005. I was very excited to become an Aunt to a boy for the 4th time. About 2 months before we started watching Johnny, we started watching his moms best friends baby girl. We now have two babies usually every weekday from about 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. The times the babies are with us during those hours are staggered to where we only have both for about 4 hours each day. It is SO much fun and SO much work!! LOL!! Starting in August of 2007 I started watching the little girls newborn brother so now I have 3 kids under age 3 that I watch (with the help of my husband when he's home) from about 7:45 am - about 5 pm every weekday. Sometimes I wonder if I'm not getting too old for tiny ones but I love them so much and I think they keep me young. :-) UPDATE: September 1st of 2008 the little girl started preschool Monday - Thursday so I still get to see her on Fridays. October 8th, 2008 our nephew started preschool so I still get him Mondays and Tuesdays. I still have the littlest one full-time. It's been a lot better for me health-wise having the older kids less. ntist Church. I always knew I loved God but never found the religion that I could feel comfortable with until now. I finally was baptized June 2003! I LOVE helping out in Sabbath School and learning more about our Lord. I have battled health problems since my pregnancy in 1997. I know ave 3 chronic illnesses but am keeping them under control with some medications and care. Thanks to the Lord and my family and friends, I'm doing okay and loving life!!!! I am excited to hear from any of you who want to contact me. Love and may God Bless you richly, Ronda Workplace After working in the high school office from 1984 through summer of 1985 I had about 8 months off. Then I worked for Kmart from 1986-1989, went to Fred Meyer from 1989-1992 and Emporium from 1992-1997 where I "retired" from retail to be a full time mother. I love this job more than any other I've had!! The summer 0f 2005 I started watching my baby nephew full time while his parent's work. He was born in late April 2005. I was very excited to become an Aunt to a boy for the 4th time. About 2 months before we started watching Johnny, we started watching his moms best friends baby girl. In August 2007 I started watching the girls newborn brother too. It is SO much fun and SO much work!! LOL!! I also love spending time volunteering at our daughters school!! My husband and I both spend time every week at her school volunteering. We both also volunteer at Church and help out in different Sabbath classes every week. We have a very fulfilling life! :-) Since 2006 I haven't gotten to help out at our daughters school as much since it's kind of hard to take 2 or 3 little kids with me every time. :-) I can't believe the 2 older ones are going to be heading to pre-school sometime soon and the 'baby' is a year old already!! Soon Auntie Ronda is going to feel like she has an empty house. :) UPDATE: September 1st of 2008 the little girl started preschool Monday - Thursday so I still get to see her on Fridays. (in the "what do you get paid to do?" section, everything listed I do for/with my kids I babysit and my family.) :)
