Dr. Rosemarie's Story

My nickname all threw school and all four universities was "Missy" and still is.. My John Campbell always called my " LOV"E. In my school days my last name was (fareno) at age 16 I found out the ,man named fareno ) person was not my biological father. I was so distraught, so off I went to locate my real father. I found my real dad at age 21 and with him had my last name changed to his. He is now deceased but what he died from is what I had at age 39,I had four leaks in my coronary artery, he died of this at age 55. To young to die. But when I had two massive MI's I was lucky enough to have surgery done and survived. But I cherish those years I had with him . In 1978 I decided to make a drastic step and change my future and career moves. One being never count on a husband-companion- to support my wants and needs ..I had to chose what I wanted in my life and choose wisely. They were completely correct. So I had a moving company pack all my possessions and my only child and I moved to Louisiana. When living in Pa, I received pamphlet's where I lived and contacted two universities that I was impressed with. So off I went! I was in the Psychology doctorate program and Pharmacology doctorate program. I continued to work at the Veterans Hospital while attending Grad School. I knew I would be able to make my OWN MONEY, MY OWN BANK ACCOUNTS, I never since age 19 ever had a joint bank account with any male, and do the correct way my Grandparents taught me years ago. At age 72 I look back and think how right they all were. So now I am retired after 35 years treating men and women in our beautiful military in our United States and over seas. I dealt with many different issues my patients came to see me with. Together both of us dealt it head on until that patient was on his or her way to a better lifestyle then when they first came to see me for their health issues or personal ones. I have one daughter, three beautiful Grandchildren, two boys and one girl ) and am a Great- Grand mother ( Grammy ) to three ambitious little ones. ( Two boys-and one girl ) I thank God every day that my Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren have God in their life, abundance of love, from both of their parents who both graduated from college, and know they can count on their parents who are 100% part of their life every day as they grow up and have GOD part of their life. and choose their right path in a successful career. also. I have a companion who is just the future in my long lived life since 1999.His name is John Campbell. I met him at age 16 at a party in Levittown, Pa. The short of it is he gave me my first kiss that night, and I never forgot him and how he spoke to me as if we knew each other forever. The years went by I was a widow three times ,by age 44.. In May 1999 I called my Aunt and she handed the telephone to him she had to the bathroom, and I heard this voice on the other end of that telephone and I knew who was on the other end. My first kiss and talks came back to me. He asked me for my telephone number as I was residing in Louisiana and he in Pennsylvania. He had recently moved to Pennsylvania from Monterey, California. He called me that night after I returned home from work. We talked for hours and days and later on it became weeks. I mentioned to him I was transferring to the New Veterans Hospital the end of September.1999.My daughter and I decided to drive to Pennsylvania together and I could see some of the houses I seen online. He asked me what if he flew down to Louisiana and drive me back to Pennsylvania and we could listen to each other's past. I said that sounded like a wonderful idea. And in September 1999 he flew into New Orleans, Louisiana .I waited until the passengers left the plane and all of a sudden their he was, little older, and still handsome as he was at age 16.We gave each other a hug and a kiss on our cheeks, and proceeded to get his bags and walk to my new 2000 Chevrolet Impala I bought in June 1999. I showed him some places in Louisiana, where I worked in New Orleans, Louisiana and then to the Mall of Louisiana in Baton Rouge ,La. We went to bookstores their and I purchased a new cookbook by a new Chef. We ate lunch and talked about our travels to Pennsylvania. As we traveled thru many states on our voyage to Pa, we stopped and ate and stayed at three fantastic hotels . We watched the Olympics on television and continued our voyage again. On our second day we had to move from i-95 due to a Hurricane from Florida. So another day it took us to get to Pa. We arrived in Pennsylvania on September 5th, that afternoon September 9th, 1999 he asked me to join him at one of his favorite places. It had been 21 years since I seen the area I grew up in and attended schools. at The Rock at Silver Lake. He bought to our picnic table root beer and Philadelphia...Expand for more
Pretzels, which was my favorite's also. He decided we take a stroll to that Rock and talk. To my surprise he got down on one knee and opened up a box and inside was a vintage Engagement ring that was so beautiful and my taste, he then asked me if I give him the pleasure of becoming his wife and live a lifetime of wonderful new memories together till God calls for us in his Heavenly Home. Of course I said yes! it was like being age 16 again with many memories at age 16 and our trip back from Louisiana to Pennsylvania. I knew he was the man my Grandparent's said I would meet and truly love and stay together for ever it would be. They were so right. That day was 9-9-1999 .Being both age 47 we knew what we both wanted and didn't want to loose each other ever again. Both of them and all four Uncles were all correct. I found finally that one special man to live out the rest of my living days with. In 2022 we moved from Bucks County, Pa to a place I had no idea my Ancestors had settled in the early 1800;s. We had appointments to see houses here in Central Pa, but we choose the first one we seen. A country farmhouse, 2400 square feet, on 13 large acres all around us. The best was the very large kitchen, I love to bake since age 11. This was also wonderful as my John Campbell is a retired Master Chef over 25 years in California. the Tennis Ranch of Celebrities. He also has a recording studio as he did in California. And is so intelligent and smart when it comes to computers. I would think of my MIT secretary over the years when I worked. But my John Campbell took her place immediately. So after all that time I am officially retired. I retired as a Clinical/Criminal Psychologist, Pharmacologist, I also had my Masters Degree in Law- and Criminal Justice in 1970's and was also needed for what I wanted in my long time career. and look back and see I made the wonderful decisions in my entire life. And for JC, we prepare our grocery list together and he makes the most exciting breakfast to start out our day. And for sure at 6 p.m. dinner is always a surprise as he never makes the same dinners twice in a row. And completely ready at 6.p. on the dot. And both of us 100% hate left overs. But if he makes something that we could have another night it goes into our upright freezers located in the lower part f our house in the laundry room., I have one side of our large kitchen as my baking station. If it has to do with baking items, I have it all. JC loves when I bake so many different recipes. I have over 160 of my Great-Grandmother's and Grandmother's Recipes, I am now copying all those recipes in to two books that will be available soon. One is completely on baking recipes, the other on just about everything my Ancestor's made and survived on and what we eat one thing I was able to do was hire a man who helped me get as far back on my Maternal - Paternal Ancestor's background. I knew I was Jewish since I was little, but my John Campbell found out his father's mother Lydia was Jewish and grew up in Austria. So it helps when we celebrate all the Jewish holidays together. .We love cooking and baking , and watch what we eat since we are both are Diabetics. We use Agave instead of sugar. We use almost every week. fresh everything, JC and I both have Type 1 Diabetes. I had mine since age 39, and John Campbell at age 46. John and I love to eat fresh healthy foods that are all natural without so many chemicals the companies add to what they sell. We grow our own Herbs for John to use them in his dinners. And because we reside on a mountain the weather is unbelievable at times. When it snows it really snows a lot up here. Some days it rains every day. We are in the midst of building our above ground vegetable gardens. We have on May 20th decided to hire a company to build us 20 feet in length- 14 feet wide and 10 feet tall outdoor a Greenhouse with Plexiglass with windows, that can be opened from inside and has a heater ,running water in side and on top a water sprinkler. It will have enough space on both sides and in the middle and a working area to plant new items. Because of the weather on top of this mountain it is impossible to have a above ground garden. But for sure we will have all year long veggies and herbs and indoor fruit trees. They will be their for us to use throughout the year. One thing I seen is looking at names and photo's of classmates I attended thru Mary W. Devine- FDR- Delhaas- Woodrow Wilson. I remember many classmates thru the years and some I cannot . But I have been thru many classes since 1970. But it is sure delightful seeing faces and names I remember. I pray every classmate has a healthy future and remember only God chooses who shall leave our beautiful country. . Not Doctors M.D.'s !!!!!
