Roxanna's Story
My father was career Marine for 28 years retiring in 1976 when we moved back for the 3rd time to Long Beach for his retirement. He passed in 1999 from the agent orange in Vietnam and would love anyone to feel free to view his album under PHOTOS in Community Albums. I began first grade at Quarles Elem. and left before second grade for Albany, GA. In the middle of 3rd grade, we moved back to Long Beach and I went through the rest of 3rd and all of 4th and began 5th. We left and my dad was stationed in Cleveland, OH. I went to the school there after missing the first month and finished. We moved to Memphis, TN when Dad retired and we weren't there six months and we went home to Long Beach.
I went from 6th to 12th in Long Beach MS.
I married young in 1982 and remarried in 1988 at 26 years old. I had two children, divorced and moved to Florida by 1995.

The few people that I still remain in touch with me are Yvonne Quarles McMichael, Maragret Bowlin Weaver.. and I would love to hear Mary Turnage, Marie Kitchen, Lee May, Betty Garlotte, Cindy Sibley, Lynn Jamison, Karen Johnson, Robert Crosby, Mrs. Edwards, Choir students, Band students. I remember Karen Johnson, Lynn Jamison and Karmen McMurphy being so kind and sweet to me. They never allowed anyone to pick for them whom they talked with & they treated me as an equal and I never forgot it. I would love to see Mrs. Swan, Mrs. Sessions, Mrs. Watts, Mr. Taylor, Mr. Ladner again.
I miss Mary Gutterman, Steven Farrell, Caryn Treffner, Jeff Alexander, as ones that I knew as friends. I consider them our angels that protect us from harm though we don't know it at all.
The shy Roxanna is now an outgoing people person. My life is one I cherish and know that God is in control. As a firm believer that Christ is my Lord and Saviour, he always walks before me and also, holds my hand.
