Roy Stevens:  

After graduation, I did a 3 year tour in the Marine Corps to include duty in the Persian Gulf, and a year in Japan. Those 3 years I ended up going around the world twice, what an experience. I have also served in the National Guard and Air Force Auxiliary for a total time in uniform of 15 years. Ended up getting married, had 2 sons and then got divorced I have since remarried. I have worked for the Federal government for 30 years and getting close to retirement. I have attended 3 colleges still haven't gotten a degree. I am currently a Bishop in the church that I am one of the founders. I have been in the ministry as a priest since Nov 2010 when 4 of us weren't happy with the slow pace that a start up church was moving forward along with some basic doctrinal differences, we went and formed our church called Christ's Evangelical Catholic Church on Aug. 15, 2012. My oldest son is a priest in the church and my wife is a deacon. Our ministry consists of serving the residents of 2 nursing homes. I will soon be involved in writing some of the courses for the churches' new seminary that we will be opening I am also a Freemason, I joined in 2008. I am also a Shriner and a Knight Templar. Update*** I have received my Associates Degree from NECC class of 2016 and I have been accepted by Liberty University's Rawlings School of Divinity to complete my Bachelors Degree in Theology. I have also been named Interim Pastor of the United Riverside Congregational Church in Lawrence so if you are in the area please stop in our Services for the Summer start at 10:00 am and for the Fall/Winter/Spring we start at 10:30 am.
