Russell's Story
Life
I have been watching this site for over 10 years but for some reason did not want to fill out anything. I guess now is a good time to fill in and re-connect.
First off lets put a date on here since classmates.com blows and does not timestamp stuff: This update is o5.11.2oo7. You can contact me directly at rte AT gdn DOT net to avoid classmates bs pay for email mumbo jumbo.
Life has been good to me so far. I have been married to my wife Mary Jo for almost 8 years and have a 13 month year old son Ian. I live in Atlanta Metro and have since 1998.
School
After Coral Springs High I went for a few years to Broward Community College and specialized in computers. SHOCKER!
Transferred to University of Florida and picked up a BS in Electical Engineering specializing in Robotics.
Currently I am going to an MBA at Terry Business School at University of Georgia.
Workplace
In college I started my own Internet company which I still run today (gdn.net).

er college I worked almost 8 years at Arris Group and did embedded firmware programming on cable modems and VoIP (eg- Vonage).
I left there a year and a half ago and now work for Broadcom. I continue to do embedded software for the latest cablemodem, WiFi, and VoIP development. The cable modem you have in your house most likely has code in it written by me (if it does not work, that one is not mine). If you have VoIP service from Comcast and its an Arris box that me also.

Over the last few years I have focused on beating the crap out of the stock market. I have an automated day-trading program called Money Tree grows me hundies for a rainy day or just when I need a pick-me-up. If you are into the stock market or just interested in business and have a great idea, I am always interested in chatting about it.
