RUSSELL (RUSTY)'s Story

I am still married to Missy; now going on 52 years. I have a son, Philip, who is still single and has no desire to get married any time soon. My daughter Kimberly is happily married to her college sweetheart and they have given us the most beautiful grand-daughter in the world. We all have homes in Gainesville, Georgia, so I get to see all of them frequently. Stay busy most of the time. Try to get in a little golf whenever time and weather permit. Love traveling and have been to several very interesting sites in the past couple of years. Plan to fully retire at 72 and pick up the traveling habit more frequently. Lots of places I still want to visit on my bucket list. Update: Well, so much for best laid plans. Just turned 74 and still working. Have a few clients that will not let me retire. I have given them until the end of 2023 to replace my services and will definitely call it quits then. (Yeah, right!). Still have not been able to do much travel due to some serious medical issues with Missy. Hope to have them cleared up by the end of ...Expand for more
summer and pick back up on the travel scene. No changes with Philip; still single, however he just survived a scare with throat cancer. Was out of work for almost a year and now is in remission. Starting his career all over again at the young age of 50 (God, I'm old). Kimberly and her husband are enjoying our granddaughter (Gabbie) and all her academic and sporting achievements. She took her high school tennis team all the way to the state finals this year but lost to a private school full of foreigners. She was named Region 8-4A player of the year and first team all-region. She graduated with several honors and a tennis scholarship from USTA. She was also in dual enrollment with the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega for her last two years of high school and will complete her sophomore year requirements this winter at UNG. Must have gotten all that talent from me, right? My mother always told me I was the smartest boy she had ever met. She had never seen anyone pass all their courses without opening a single book. Well, what can I say?
