Life Hello, hope all has gone wonderfully for you in life. I am currently retired as an environmental attorney for the Environmental Protection Agency and work mostly on refinery cases here in Texas. I also held a position as Special Assistant United States Attorney, Criminal Division.. I get to Washington D.C. fairly often, which gives me a chance to go on to see friends in CT. I have always loved athletics and have been a five time finalist for a spot on U.S. Olympic team in sprint kayak racing (1976, 2008, 2012.. I decided to take up sprint racing again in mid-2007 and I competed in the 2008 Olympic Trials making the finals in the 500 meter single and doubles. I have since been to the 200 meter finals at the US Olympic Trials in 2012. I went to the World Masters Games in Sydney, Australia in 2009 and took home five medals. I competed in the British Indoor Nationals 2010 and won my age-group in the 200 meter, 500m and 1000m.. My next goal is the European Kayak Championships in Italy in September 2011. I have since competed a number of times in Europe since I first wrote this profile. I was third in the marathon in the Europeans in Italy in 2011. In 2014 i competed at the Worlds in Torino Italy and took a silver medal in the 1000 meter four. I previously competed in triathlon which gave me a chance to race at the Worlds in New Zealand, Portugal and Switzerland ,before I broke my shoulder in a bike crash. Ouch ! As a 2023 update, I currently race outrigger canoes (think Hawaii 5 O). I just got back from the World Distance Championships in Samoa (9 miles) and I am sitting at the US Team Trials in Sacramento right now. I still ski when I get a chance, but now it is mostly CO or NM rather than New England. I have been lucky and was able to do a good bit of car racing over the years, mostly sports cars and formula cars. I have just purch...Expand for more
