Russell's Story
Life
After a rocky post-South High & B.C. era, I returned to Bakersfield and met and married Kaye, my second wife. In `93, I opened a Rebounding Gym in Oildale, but it didn't do very well. After I lost Kaye to cancer in `97, I closed the gym, loaded everything in a U-Haul and came to the most beautiful spot on earth...Northeastern Minnesota! I manage a city-owned campground in the summer months and a wilderness park ...Expand for more
in the winter (in a house supplied by the city). Life has become very serene.
P.S. Remember how we used to look for snow out the classroom windows? Well, I don't have to look for it anymore! The daily shoveling & salting lose their excitement after about a month...but, the "white" Christmases are truly spectacular! A S.A.S.E. will get you your own copy of "Minnesota Diary".
