Ruth's Story
Life
not much of a life... i don't have a car anymore, so transport
is difficult... no spouse, no kids, my cat died this year 2004, my health is very poor but i'm still alive.
i try to earn a bit thru surveys but it doesn't even pay for
the internet bill. i get more from cashback bonuses for
groceries, etc. ha ha... i used to take ministry classes,
but they are too expensive now.. i do live in my own condo-
it's normally fairly quiet except of landscaping day...and i
play a little pool at the clubhouse... i coach better than i play now...visited sag area 2004 - too cold for me now...
sometimes wonder if other classmates could provide some keys
to unlock those lockers of info that i don't seem to have the
combinations for anymore? the 60's seem like an eternity away.
School
don't remember much from school
or before 1988 - lots of brain
damage from car acciden...Expand for more
ts, and
med treatments? have to laugh -
i can't pass a GED, but had to
do MBA and did.. relearned reading, writing, and math, but
didn't fill in other areas yet.
some of the names seem familiar...
College
i worked hard to gain a diversified program at cmu - and it helped by making me flexible and multiskilled for jobs..
later, i got my MBA at fmu-fl and
have no been able to use it because of being disabled...
then i started ministry classes
thru global u-springfield mo.
i keep hoping that i can help in
counseling someday..
Workplace
various jobs as a student started me on the road.. temp work and bado in houston expanded my skills,
but also introduced politics and
abuse..more abuses and politics in
calif - added more nails to the
coffin - until i was broken...
i wonder if promises were kept -
would i be working today? and
surviving better - i would hope so.
