Ruth's Story

Life I have been married to Bill 24 plus years and live near Jackson MI. I have 5 children and 4 grandchildren to enjoy. I am in the entertainment business and work as a Producer and Casting Director. I enjoy connecting Actors with Producers, Directors and enjoy seeing their stories come alive and develop into works of art in film. I commute to Troy, MI and live also in the Detroit area during the week. I attend many film festivals and enjoy traveling for my job. This year 2011 will mark my 2nd year casting and 3rd year in the entertainment business. I am a hard worker and am patient, as I know this industry doesn't happen over night. I am an active member in my church and am involved as a volunteer in both my local and work communities. I love to travel, entertain, read short stories, write some, and walk and shop in my free time. I love the East Coast states and am anxious to move back that direction in the next few years. New York City, Broadway shows, Community theatre is where you will find me for retirement, and cooking with my Grandkids or enjoying watching them grow into productive working adults. I have lots of passion for many things, my husband says, but people are my true passion. Chicago is a favorite city I enjoy visiting for great entertainment. I have enjoyed volunteering with my 5 kids activities, from a variety of sports, to music, to drama as they were growing up. I continue to enjoy watching all of my children grow into productive members of the world. All 4 girls and my son work and manage life as it comes one day at a time. My youngest daughter is still in college persuing her technical theatre degree in Set Design and Costume Design. I personally love to travel, sing ( back up, choirs, and jam with my music friends), read, surf the net for old friends, be a positive influence to my family and friends. I collect Angels, Madonas, and Art work of different mediums. I dislike house work, ironing, and washing windows. I enjoy mowing the yard and laying on a nice warm beach sipping a cool drink! My Homes are very much lived in. I have lots of stuff, that often finds it's way on stage in a show or on an independent movie set. I live each day of life as if it was my last, as life is short, our days are all numbered and timed. I am just experiencing God's Big Countdown! I hope life has been good to all the people I have met along my life's journey. I have been fortunate to have had many good friends that have impacted my life greatly. I hope life has been kind to you and has brought you happiness! Your friend always, Ruth School High School was great I had a wonderful time. uising Midwest Blvd! Coming to the 10th ,25th, and 30th class reunions were a blast seeing old friends and classmates. Many people are still the same personality they were in high school, which I find pretty interesting, and many are also very interesting to talk with now, who I did not know very well back in the MCHS years. I have enjoyed reconnecting with many of you on here and also on Facebook. College College at Kansas University was okay. I had a rough year when Rodney died. I worked to pay for school 3 and 4 jobs at a time. I enjoyed parting way to much. College helped me to grow up, and get a view of what life after college was really all about. Workplace I have always worked since I was about 10 years old. My first job was helping take xare of the pets, washing dishes, shinning my Dad's shoes and ironing his handerchiefs. Then I graduated to washing cars, mowing lawns and babysitting for extra cash. My first job out of the house outside of babysitting was a barter job working at a horse barns in Topeka, Kansas in 5th grade . For every two hours I worked, I could ride horses for one hour for free. My first day on the job saddling up a horse for someone else to ride, I had the worst horse to catch, and even the worst horse in the stables, he ended up pulling the entire saddling area fence down that I had had him tied to. I never gave up and got that darn horse saddled and brittled up. Looking back on that experience now I think they set me up to see if I would make it working there, as they were not mad at what happened at all. I later learned that everybody had a hard time dealing with that darn horse. Once in a while what looks to be a not so good experience, turns out to be a blessing. I have been fortunate to experienced many walks of life in my business careers and most enjoy being self employed and in control of my own destiny. I hope I will be remembed as a fun and kind person. Each day God opens a window for me to peek into and connects me with people from all walks of life. I have tried to make each of those expereinces matter to the people involved and have enjoyed the journies life has given me. I am still not sure what I am suppose to be when I grow up, but there are a few areas where I am sent to on a regular basis that its taken me 40 years to understand. I embrace those days with an open heart now, and know why the connections are made with me. I am a messenger, a connector, and that I do very well. I have been blessed to have so many doors open before me.I hope life has been good to all the people I have met along my life's journey. I have been fortunate to have had many good friends that have impacted my life greatly. I hope life has been kind to you and has brought you happiness! Your friend always, Ruth
