Ryan's Story
Life
I came out of the closet to friends just after graduating from highschool at Thornlea SS, and to my family a few months later. Really, it was no surprise to most people, except my girlfriend at the time! I attended Carleton University in a search for a purposeful career. Instead, I ended up working in student services and then working my way to the Executive Director position of a province-wide peer support phone line for gay youth, where I earned an award from the Mayor of Toronto for outstanding community contribution. and direct marketing. I returned to school to earn my Honours B. Tech in Graphic Communications Management, with a minor in Marketing, and now work in the advertising and direct marketing industry as a production/project manager. I manage the production of marketing campaigns for the automotive, communication, OTC pharmaceutical and financial industries. I have so much to be thankful for. I have a partner of five years, a wonderfully supportive family, and great friends. In my spare time I focus on fitness and several creative pursuits (see announcements section).
