Life My Bio? Hmmmm... First there was rain, then boredom...and glory be...look what happened... ME! :-) I grew up in Mechanicsville...where I have lived and still live today on my family's farm. I went through Washington-Henry ES, Stonewall-Jackson JH, and Lee-Davis HS. I work a lot. No silver spoon here, so not much spare time. I went to college for a few years after high school, but getting back to the silver spoon thing, I had to work. Of all the jobs I have had, the one thing I found was that I hate 9-5 jobs. Shift work was much better. I get bored too easily and always had a hard time enjoying what I did. I like to work with a purpose, and mundane jobs never seemed to fit. Other than your normal support/college jobs, I finally found something I liked - Emergency Service. I worked as a paramedic for Stafford county in northern Virginia for 2 and a half years, where I loved the work, just not the commute. I was fortunately hired by Henrico County Division of Fire where I have had a blast for 20 years as a firefighter/paramedic, an now a Lieutenant. I have kept a part time gig for 23 years now (cuz we firefighters are poor)at Kings Dominion as a safety area supervisor.
