Sabra's Story
Life
I have two grown children and two grandchildren. I consider them my best accomplishment. My daughter, Jennifer Gerber (I used to be married to Bruce Gerber, also a 1968 graduate) and my son Ben Gerber, is a master electrician and has his own company called, what else... Gerber Electric. Had to get a plug in there! He has custody of his daughter and doing the "Mister Mom" thing. He has also blessed me with a grandson who is as wonderful as his half sister.
As for me, I retired from Verizon after 31 years and paid my house off this year. Woohoo!. I work part time from home for my sister-in-law who is an attorney. I will be looking for work again some. I need something more to occupy my time, but this is good for now.
I started swing dancing about 16 years ago and it is my passion. I also do some ballroom dancing. Other than providing me with one of the most fun ways of spending my time, it has also allowed me to meet the best bun...Expand for more
ch of friends a person could ask for.
I spend my free time with my wonderful grandchildren or with my friends just dancing, going to movies, having a movie or game night at one of our homes. My children have both bought homes in my neighborhood so it is nice to have them close by.
I enjoy the fact that my friends and I can act silly and have fun with out the need for drinking.
Halloween we dressed as the cast from HairSpray. I was Tracy Turnblad and had a male friend dress as Edna Turnblad, two other friends were Wilbur Turnblad and Miss Baltimore Crabs.Oh yes, we even had Corney Collins! You can see us on the Friday Night Swing Dance website if the picture is still there.
I enjoy entertaining at my home, especially barbecues in the spring and fall.
I love just hanging with my friends and just laughing.
There is no special man in my life, but I am not actively searching.
Life is good and I feel very lucky to be where I am today.
