I left Charter Oak right before graduating............I really missed out on graduating with a bunch of GREAT people, unfortunately my parents moved. :( Some of you may not remember me........I was the silent side kick to Kim Ward..........AHHHHH, now it's ringing a bell. :) I hope to meet back up with some of you!
Since I left the Covina area in 1986, I moved and ended up going to a very small school. I met alot of great people! In 1987 I did what every parent DOESN'T want their child to do, I got pregnant (at 17). I lived with my parents, since as you can imagine I ended up being a single parent, and had my son Wesley, I then went back to school and got my diploma SO MUCH HAPPENED from 1988-1995 (which I won't bore you with the details of all that drama), but in 1995 I met my husband Jason, we both worked for Smart & Final, we met and married in the same year!! We had a HUGE wedding......(more boring details). Let's skip ahead to 2006 we started the adoption process on a 15 month old boy, our newest addition to the family....Wyatt (who is now 2 years 5 months) So we have Wesley who is now 18½ and Wyatt who is 2½....I think I'm starting to get gray hair :) Our life is full, busy and complete.

Workplace
After High school......I worked full time for Kinney Shoes/Footlocker, it was what I could find full time to take care of my son. I...Expand for more
n 1992 I started working for Smart & Final. I worked for them from 1992-1999. I started out as a cashier and then worked up to a "Key Carrier", (hey that was a big deal to work up to that, LOL). Anyway, I left Smart & Final in 1999 when I was set to be promoted, and they promoted a man over me. I figured that company wasn't a "right fit for me" if their integrity allowed that to happen.......That sent me to CBS Payroll, where I started out as a payroll specialist keying payroll for customers in CA and AZ. I grew with the company and learned end to processes for payroll and technical assistance for our WEB and PC based products. In 2002 CBS Payroll went through an acquisition and Intuit, Inc purchased us. Intuit is a software company (better known for QuickBooks and TurboTax), they decided to try their hand in payroll. It's been quite a journey, that's allowed me to climb the corporate ladder and now I am a manager at Intuit's San Bernardino Call Center/Processing Branch. In February of this year (2007) Intuit announced they were getting out of the payroll piece of the business and would be closing my site as well as our San Diego Branch. Since they will not be closing us until winter of 2007, this will allow me to venture off into new and exciting job adventures. My true passion is cooking. I attended Le Cordon Bleu in pasadena about 4 years ago (I only went for 6 weeks because I couldn't handle working full time and going to school), but my thoughts are to take my severance package and RUN and go back. I'm sure I won't be the "Next Great Famous Chef", but for the rest of my life, I want to LOVE what I do, instead of dread it.
