Sal's Story

ood and interesting people, and we traveled this road together. All of you know that we do a thankless job, for little to no recognition. On Christmas Day 2002; a neighbor of mine( that I didn't even know too well.) and his family, made a plate of food for me and brought it over to my house. They said it was their way of showing their appreciation for the sacrifices we make, and the hard work we do. I had NEVER had that happen to me in all of my years of service. But that one small gift meant more to me than any award or medal I could ever receive. It made all the years of sacrifice worth while.
