Sandra's Story
Wow - Where to start???
First off, work, I'm an Oracle DBA for Monster Technologies (yup that work search engine) here in downtown chicago. It's a pretty nice job, just those days that I'm on call and the pager doesn't stop, but I love being able to work from home.
Secondly, for some reason I decided to go back to school. I'm currently attending University of Phoenix - Online for my MBA in Technology Management. It's tough, but I'm getting through it, and looking forward to graduation in July 09.
Next, fun stuff... I'm a PADI Dive Master and EFR Instructor. I was in a major car accident a few years back, it really laid me up. But after lots of rehab and surgery I'm almost back to normal. After my law suit was settled, I took my winnings and had some fun, I got PADI certified, and then some other stuff. I also started to travel more. I've been to Cabo/La Paz, Cozumel, Costa Rica, Belize and in 2007 I took the month of January off and hit the Galapagos on a live-a-board and spent 3 weeks in Ecuador visiting family. and only visit and it was FUN. For 2008, I have several trips planned, but still not certain of all of them. My only definite is Vegas with Karin Cliffor and Sally Anselmo (GC girls), and then going to Fiji with some friends and do some diving. Yeah.. all my trips tend to revolve around diving.
This year I plan to dive more than last year, and hopefully hit my 200th dive, i'm at about 125 or so, so it'll be a challenge but I'm sure if i hit the great lakes and quarries with friends I should be able to do it...
Family... Well not much here, I was married and divorced. I never had kids, except for the 4 legged kind. I have 2 dogs, Merlin, a basenji, and Delilah, the bratty shar pei. They are great but sometimes I just want to kill them when they decide they want to play at 3am.. UGH...
Home.. Currently I own a house in Elmwood Park. I love my house.. it's a large bungalow and my neighbors are the best. I love having parties at my house or just hangin out in the yard listening to music and drinking some wine...
Ummm.. I guess that is me in a nut shell...
