I'm trying to locate classmates for our 50th reunion. It will be Sept 23 and 24, 2011. Game at the high school after a tailgate supper on Friday. Dinner Dance at the Country club, Saturday. Need better ways to communicate with classmates about the particulars. Since high school, I became a nurse, worked in Chapel Hill 4 years, followed my Dr husband when he entered the army to Ft Campbell, KY. After 2 years he was honorably discharged. We eventually ended up in Mt Airy where he worked as the pathologist and I volunteered in all kinds of activities with my girl and boy. For 30 1/2 years I taught childbirth classes (Sandy's version of Lamaze) once a week five weeks out of seven. I was a Girl Scout leader for 20 years and am still involved (lifetime membership in GSUSA). I became a certified soccer referee and stood in cold wet weather many times watching the boy, & camped in cold wet weather many times with lots of teen girls. In 2007 I became a Stephen Leader and try to keep up with a team of Stephen Ministers & the hurting, lonely folks in our church. Also I try to keep up with 4 grandchildren, ages 5 to 21. Two live 2 hours east of me and two live 2 hours southwest of me. I stay in the car alot! I only watch TV to see college basketball & am usually doing something else while watching.
