Workplace The Jack in the Box manager (Everett Ave/Broadway) was right when he told me that I would "never work at another Jack in the Box again!" after I threw the dumb drive through phone at him. To this day I don't think I can take an order (even if there had been a headset); ring something up and pack a food bag all at once. During the 1990's I worked for a prominent "Montana owned and operated" gas station chain (that expanded to include casino's in the building…classy huh?). During my time there I wore many hats. I was the assistant manager, the deli manager and a casino runner…and I pumped propane. I really hated it there. I received a "write up" for absolutely refusing to clean the grease trap in the deli…I have no regrets. For those of you leading a sheltered life a grease trap keeps the grease from clogging the pipes…sometimes it gets clogged and you have to spoon out the grease…the stench is incredible. Nope…can't pay me enough…especially not the $5.35 I was making at the time. Now I work in downtown Seattle as a real estate/estate planning/tax associate attorney. Military My first husband was in the Navy...actually he still is! We lived in San Diego for 3 years...San Diego is pretty cool, and they weren't drunk when they planned the freeways. Me? I'm not very good at taking orders.
