Sandra's Story
Just an average life -- got married and had a family. I have two sons and a daughter and now have 5 grandchildren. I am widowed. Went back to college in my mid-30's and graduated from Roosevelt here in Chicago. Worked as a medical secretary for two pathologists and in municipal government,but mostly in sales and marketing. Now retired but do a little project management work from home. Oh yes, I also worked for RBBB for a couple of years, traveling around the country on the train, and then for a small tent show. me when my youngest son became a father.
It has been a while since I added anything so here goes. I sold my house in Chicago and am currently living with my oldest son and his significant other here in Wayne. I now have a great grandson, Brodie, who lives in Arizona and will have another (a girl they tell me) in February 2013. My 17 year old grandaughter spent a couple of weeks in Japan this year. She said she would like to go back there to live.
Sometimes I look in the mirror and wonder who that old lady is! Wasn't it just yesterday we were wearing those blue serge uniforms and looking forward ---
