Sandy's Story
I am a Professor of Family Relations/Human Sexuality at the University of Maine. I also have a sex therapy practice on the side. Yes, as I had said in high school, my goal was to be a sex educator....which is exactly what I went on to do. After graduating from the University of Maine in Health and Family Life/Sexuality Education, I went on to get my Ph.D. from Syracuse University in Human Development with an emphasis in Human Sexuality. iversity of Maine, I applied and got the job - and was happy to move back home! It has been nice not to have to go on vacation to see my family. I have a great job - teaching, doing research, writing a few books, traveling, and doing counseling.
I really had a great time in high school - and have many fond memories. I also feel fortunate to have had so many opportunities since graduating from Brewer. It is stunning to realize how much time has passed since high school! I guess it is true: Time flies when you are having fun.
