Sara's Story

Life Thank you to a couple friends who reminded me that the fun of this website is in reading completed bios, and seeing recent pictures. After several years of dragging my feet, I finally decided to play along. Although I only keep in touch with a few people from elementary/high school, I have fond memories of those years and the people who made them so much fun. If we have lost touch, I'd love to catch up. What's life like for you as a grown up? HAHA! A little about me: In eighth grade I moved from Santa Barbara to San Diego. After two years in San Diego, I moved back up North to complete my Junior and Senior years in Santa Maria. Right after graduation, I headed toward Orange County for college, and met my husband, Doug, during my first semester there. I attended Mt. Sac and CSUF, where I discovered a passion for ...Expand for more
speech and debate. This was a surprise to me as I was and still am fairly shy. I liked it so much that I majored in Speech Communication, and I now teach Public Speaking and Interpersonal Communication courses at a local college. In my spare time I enjoy photography, volunteering at our church as a mentor mom, and taking trips with family/friends to the desert to play and unwind. No pets, but two incredible daughters. I absolutely love being a wife and mom. My husband is a sweetheart, and a fabulous dad. Our daughter, Cassidy, is a wise, talented, thoughtful, young lady. Her words and actions warm my heart and always make me proud. Our daughter, Daylen, is a spunky, smart, dramatic little girl. Her personality is like sunshine; she lights up my world. Life is good, and I am thankful for every minute of it! Your turn...
