Life
I can't believe I'm all grown up now. :) (No not really - I will never grow up.)
I'm currently working in Englewood, CO (Denver). I own a house and have a cat. I have a truck and love being outside doing whatever there is to be doing. A few years ago I learned to ride a motorcycle and no one has been able to pull me off yet. I love it. Nothing special about my ride, so I won't say anything about that. I can officially say that I'm a Sturgis junkie and can't wait until August this year.
In 2002 I graduated from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology with a BS in Interdisciplinary Sciences with an Emphasis in Atmospheric Sciences. I have been working in my field for all of 6 months now, since the market for weather geeks is nearly non-existent.
As for the job, I'm a consultant with McVehil-Monnett Associates and work mostly with Oil, Gas, and Coal operations. I help them get oper...Expand for more
ating permits amongst other things. I have to understand EPA regulations and how to model potential emissions from a mine or other source that wants to get an operating permit. It sounds really dry, BUT it can be really fun.
While attending school I was working full time for United Airlines Mileage Plus. That gave me the opportunity to travel for near nothing during the months I wasn't attending class. I was able to visit Memphis, Seattle, San Francisco, Omaha (a number of times) and London. All were beautiful and exciting, just as I expected them to be. With my current job, I was given a chance to go to Alaska and see the wonderful north country. It was amazing to say the least.
Just recently I married the sweetest guy you'll ever meet. He's a little obnoxious but can't say much so am I.
