After getting kicked out of "BEST" alternative high school because I was 5 minutes late 3 times in one semester, I decided to skip high school and got my GED - scored in the top 2% - and went to Bellevue Community College where I got my first of 3 degrees. The other two are in Fashion Design and then I was invited on scholarship to the School at the Art Institute Museum in Chicago (not associated with Art Institutes Schools) for a BFA in Fiber Art. I also studied World Religions in depth, particularly Hinduism. In between schools I moved all over the place, including 2 years in Vancouver, Canada and London, England. I also lived in New Orleans for a short time. Letsee, I ran my own Evening and Bridal company for nearly a decade and also did Costume Design/Wardrobe for everything from local independent films/music videos to Cirque Du Soleil and Micheal Flatley. After some years of struggling with serious medical issues - I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome of the Joint Type, which means that the collagen that forms my connective tissues is not made correctly and comes apart very easily leading to CONSTANT injuries and pain - I am now focused on building ANOTHER creative career out of my writing.
