What's new? Not much...been married about 3 years now to Ian and we live in Wake Forest, NC, with our 2 cats and 2 dogs. I'm a senior tax manager at a CPA firm doing insurance taxation and Ian is an auto tech.

Moved around a lot when I was a kid so let's see: North Oak Grove Elementary for Kindergarten; Ardenwald Elementary in Milwaukie, OR; Sunset Elementary School in West Linn, OR; Willamette Middle School in West Linn; Athey Creek Middle School in West Linn; La Salle HS in Milwaukie, OR; South Kitsap HS in Port Orchard, WA (same HS my gramma went to when she was a kid); then off to college.
College
Spent the last two years of HS at Olympic College getting double credits - graduated HS in 1996 but didn't even go to my own graduation ceremony. I was too ready to...Expand for more
be out of the house, so I started summer school at North Carolina State University before joining the rest of my fellow freshmen in the fall. Ultimately got my bachelor of science in accounting in Dec. of '99, but wasn't ready to be done with school yet so stuck around for another year and got my master of accounting degree, too.
Workplace
Well, I did work for Arthur Andersen after I got my master's degree but that obviously didn't work out. So after 9 months in the Raleigh office, I moved out to California and worked there. I won't mention where unless you ask because I wouldn't even recommend to my worst enemy that they go there. Needless to say, I wasn't happy so I made a change ASAP and moved back to Raleigh. I worked for RSM McGladrey for just over two years where I left as a tax manager. Now I work at Johnson Lambert & Co as a senior tax manager.
