Schelle's Story
After graduating from GHS in 1971, I went to Santa Fe and then UF where I majored in Special Education. I did my internship at Eastside High School and there I realized I was not the teacher type! A little late to realize you won't enjoy what you majored in at college. I dropped out of UF with one class left to graduate and I drifted around the country for a few years making my way to California and back. I moved to West Palm Beach and started doing anything for work, working 3 jobs at one time. n so I would be able to graduate at the end of the next quarter. It took several months for the two schools to agree (I plead "hardship") and they finally agreed. In December of 1976 I received my diploma from UF and I then never taught school. I worked doing many things until I became a state of Florida certifiied sheet metal contractor in 1995. I love my work and have been priviledged to have worked building over 40 schools in Palm Beach and Martin counties in our great state of Florida until the building bust. In my spare time I ride an 1100 Honda Shadow. I work out at the gym most work days. Love animals - have 3 dogs and 4 cats.
